This course teaches the electron theory, magnetism, Ohm's Law, current flow, A.C. motors, resistance, instruments for electrical measurement, power distribution and the application of each.
Heat pumps studies the theory and operation of reverse-cycle refrigeration. This includes supplementary heat as applied to heat pump systems including installation, maintenance and service.
Heating, Air and Refrigeration Calculations includes fractions, equations, signs of operations, decimals, subtraction, Ohm's theory, division and multiplication of signed numbers. It also teaches fundamentals of algebra, solutions of equations and expression of stated problems in mathematical form.
Refrigeration Principles is an introduction to the refrigeration cycle. The program also teaches basic thermodynamics, temperatre/pressure relationship, refrigeration containment, and heat transfer.
Air conditioning troubleshooting teaches advanced application of troubleshooting principles using text instruments to diagnose air conditioning and refrigeration components and system problems including conducting performance testing.
