Locate a university in Arkansas that offers the Instructional Facilitator Licensure Endorsement option in its Faculty of Education's MTLL program. The Licensure Endorsement curriculum was released in early 2010 and has not yet been taken up by all Faculty of Education graduate schools in the state. The first two universities to offer it were Arkansas Tech University and the University of Central Arkansas
Enroll in the Instructional Facilitator Licensure Endorsement option. The curriculum consists of 6 courses. For Non-Traditional Teachers (those engaged in Alternative Learning Environments, Juvenile Detention/Residential Centers, or Special Education), two administrative internships are also mandatory.
Complete course 1, Organizational Change and the Role of the Master Teacher.
Complete course 2, Teaching and Learning for the Master Teacher.
Complete course 3, Advanced Curriculum Design Practicum for the Master Teacher.
Complete course 4, Professionalization of Teaching for the Master Teacher.
Complete course 5, Instructional Leadership for the Master Teacher.
Complete course 6, Cognitive Coaching and Mentoring for the Master Teacher.
Take your ETS (Educational Testing Service) assessment. When you pass the assessment you will be awarded an Instructional Facilitator Licensure Endorsement.
