Determine the length of the pipe launder section using the tape measure. Record this measurement value in the same units you used to determine height.
Calculate the volume of the cylinder piping by using the equation bh = pi * r^2 * h, where b= base, h= height, pi= the value of pi (3.14) and r= radius of the piping.
Calculate slope of the launder by using equation Slope = (n * V * Rh(-2/3))^2, where slope is height/length, V is m/s and Rh is in meters.
