Obtaining a Transcript From Hocking College

You may need a college transcript for some jobs after college, or for applying to graduate school. This document, "an official copy of a student's academic record" serves to certify your college credentials, by recording "all courses successfully and unsuccessfully completed." You can obtain this important record from Hocking College, located in Nelsonville, Ohio, in any of several ways, but the Office of the Registrar recommends using the website.

      Visit the Hocking College website, and click on the link for students or alumni. From the "Students" page, click on "WebAdvisor" From the "Alumni" page, click on "Request Transcript."

      Log in using your Hocking College username and password. For questions about logging in, call the college Cashier and Records Office at 740-753-7026, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (Central time), Mondays through Fridays, except for holidays.

      Click on "Transcript Request," and fill in the required information. You will need to provide a valid credit card number, because the request requires $10: $5 for the transcript, and $5 "convenience fee" for using a credit card.

      Print out the transcript request form available from the Hocking College website.

      Complete the form in ink. If you are paying via credit card, include your card number; you will be charged $10, which includes a $5 "convenience fee" for credit card purchases. If you prefer to pay with a check or money order, include a check for $5, made out to Hocking College.

      Place the completed form and check or money order (if any) in an envelope addressed to Hocking College. Address it to the attention of CARS -- Transcript Request, 3301 Hocking Pkwy., Nelsonville, OH 45764.

      Mail the request with the appropriate postage.
