Short Courses in Business Management

Business management is a fast-growing field that provides practical knowledge that can be applied across a variety of careers. Business education classes can enhance your abilities in your current profession or offer the opportunity to acquire new skills. For those who do not have the time or money to commit to a full-time degree program, there are many short coursework options available online or in a classroom setting.
  1. Business Management Seminars

    • The American Management Association (AMA) runs an array of business seminars in 40 cities across the United States. The seminars offer training in topics such as management and supervisory skills, finance and accounting, leadership, marketing, project management, training and development, communication skills and strategic planning. AMA's seminars typically run for three days and can be reserved up to nine months in advance. AMA members receive a discount on tuition, and participants who successfully complete three qualifying seminars are awarded an AMA certificate in recognition of professional expertise.

    Online Small Business Training

    • The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) offers a number of free online business management courses targeted toward small businesses. The courses offered include starting an online business, financing a business, how to prepare a business plan, franchising, business technology, government contracting and more. These self-paced courses take about 30 minutes to complete and offer supplementary audio explanations as you progress. A simple registration process must be completed prior to beginning an SBA course.

    International Summer Program
