How to Prepare Mild Silver Protein Solution

Mild silver proteins are used to bond silver particles together in medicinal and laboratory uses. Silver proteins are extracted from silver particles to prepare medicinal colloidal silver for homeopathic use. They are diluted, or prepared, before use to decrease toxicity and make them safe for human consumption. Preparation is made in a laboratory or pharmacy before dispensing. Although silver proteins can be prepared at home, it is not recommended.

Instructions

    • 1

Measure one pint of distilled water in a glass beaker, or graduate. Water must be room temperature before adding to the beaker. Larger batches of silver preparation will require more water. Use one pint for every microgram of silver proteins.

    • 2

Add 1 microgram of silver protein granules or salt per one pint of water. Silver protein is water soluble. Be careful not to add any more as high levels can be toxic.

    • 3

Stir your mixture with a stirring rod until it is completely dissolved. This may take up to 30 minutes.

    • 4

Store silver preparation in a glass bottle with a lid. Store away from extreme temperatures.
