Which universities offer DLitt via distance learning in its entirety?

There are very few, if any, reputable universities that offer a Doctor of Literature (DLitt) entirely through distance learning. A DLitt is a very advanced research degree, requiring significant interaction with supervisors and access to extensive library and research resources. The nature of the research and the level of supervision needed typically makes a fully online DLitt program impractical and unlikely to meet the standards of established academic institutions.

While some universities might offer *some* components of a doctoral program (including a DLitt, if they offer it at all) online, the core research, thesis writing, and supervision are almost always expected to involve substantial in-person or at least highly interactive online engagement with faculty.
