Distance Learning Courses in Counseling

If you enjoy comforting others, helping people to better their lives, and providing a shoulder to lean on, a career as a counselor may be an ideal fit. Professions in the counseling field require advanced education and training; schools offer associate's degree programs through bachelor's and master's degrees in counseling and psychology. If you prefer to learn from home, consider taking distance learning courses in counseling. This means you'll complete coursework through email, interact with professors through forums and perform local internships to gain clinical experience.
  1. Christian Leadership University

    • Students with a Christian religious affiliation (no religious preference is required to enroll) may be interested in an online Christian counseling degree from the Christian Leadership University. Associate, bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees are available, all with part-time and full-time options. Topics include prayers that heal the heart, healing anointing, communion with God, counseled by God, naturally supernatural, wisdom through dream interpretation and cornerstones of communication. Students have the option to specialize in a concentration, such as theology, divine healing, intercession and youth ministry.

Students may reduce their schooling costs and time by transferring prior course credits or earning experience for life credit. There are no educational requirements for the associate's or bachelor's degree programs; students are assigned an online instructor and must begin by completing Bible quizzes.
