What is an AOS degree?

AOS stands for Associate of Occupational Studies. It's an associate's degree, a two-year post-secondary degree, that focuses on specific vocational or technical skills needed for immediate employment in a particular field. Unlike an Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree, which are often used as stepping stones to a four-year bachelor's degree, an AOS is designed to prepare students directly for entry-level jobs.
