World's Best Medical Post-Graduation Colleges

The Times Higher Education Ranking is an annual list that began in 2004 to rank the top undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the world in a number of academic fields. Few fields require academic excellence as much as medicine, known as Life Sciences and Biomedicine on the Times list, because most don't deal with minute-by-minute life-and-death decisions. Choosing the right medical school is a life-defining decision; rankings alleviate some of the pressure of that decision.
  1. Harvard School of Medicine

    • The Times Higher Education Rankings named Harvard University the top Life Sciences and Biomedicine School in the world for postgraduate studies in its 2009 survey. Harvard awards both doctorate and medical doctor degrees and has programs for postdoctoral fellows. Medical research conducted by professors and postgraduate students in 2010 includes studying organ transplants and T cell relationships in mice and the creation of a workable human lung on a microchip. Affiliations with the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Veterans Affairs Boston Healthcare System provide postgraduate students plenty of opportunity for fieldwork.
