Boston University's Dermatology Program is for graduate students with some level of professional training and experience, including an internship approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
The three-year program gives residents a background in specialized and general dermatology training, fostered through clinical visits and a structured curriculum. Clinical sites allow for a diverse patient base and include Boston Medical Center, Boston Veterans Administration Healthcare System, and off-campus community-based practices.

Georgetown University's Dermatology Residency Training Program, offered in conjunction with the Washington Hospital Center, uses both hospitals and their outpatient facilities as training sites.
The program, which lasts three years, strives to stay current with the latest techniques in diagnosis and treatment through its outpatient clinic program. Residents also participate in dermatological research.
The Georgetown program offers specialty dermatology experiences for contact dermatitis, pediatric dermatology, podiatry, laser surgery, cosmetic surgery and plastic surgery.
