One of the ABA-approved schools in California is UC Berkeley's School of Law in Berkeley, near San Francisco. Berkeley has been on the accredited list since 1923, and has a long-standing history of excellence in the legal education field. Berkeley is a noted school in the civil rights law field, having graduated many famous lawyers who have worked to ensure the rights of others. In addition, thanks to its proximity to the high-tech industry in California, many Berkeley graduates become intellectual property lawyers, which is a newer field of law that is still fairly open for interpretation.
