Located in midtown Atlanta, John Marshall Law School (JMLS) takes pride in its ability to provide an intimate educational environment for its students who work together in a noncompetitive learning situation. Founded in 1933, JMLS offers two areas of study--the Juris Doctor (JD) and the Legal Skills and Professional Program. The JD degree is the main program offered at JMLS, and students may enroll full or part time. Full-time students will complete the program in three years, while the part-time program requires four years including some summer courses. Students earning their JD are given the opportunity to take courses in negotiations, alternative dispute resolution, trial advocacy, domestic relations and mediation. The Legal Skills and Professional Program assists students with achieving higher rates of passing the bar exam as well as providing students with the skills to be ready to practice law successfully upon graduation. Interested students must apply online.

The University of Georgia School of Law (UGSL), located in Athens, offers the Juris Doctor to graduates who complete the three-year program. Students will endure rigorous course loads alongside talented fellow students that will prepare them to work in academia, public interest, government, private practice or business. The program is offered full time and, due to the challenging courses, students may not work for more than 20 hours a week while classes are in session. Georgia Law students can participate in mock trial and moot court programs, and gain hands-on experience through study abroad programs. Students can receive specialized training beyond the JD program through elective credit, concurrent enrollment and joint degree programs upon request. Students must apply online to the program.
