The University of Oregon's School of Law was ranked by "U.S. News & World Report" as the No. 80 school of law in the nation, making it among the top-tier schools in the U.S. In addition to the traditional J.D. program, the University of Oregon offers a Master of Laws degree with a specialization in the field of environmental and natural resources law. The LL.M. is offered in the field of environmental sciences and natural resources law. What distinguishes Lewis & Clark from the state's other law schools, however, are the various specializations that each law student can pursue within the J.D. program. The College of Law at Willamette University in Salem is the state Oregon's third ABA approved law school. Although not ranked as a top-tier school like the other two programs, WU offers students similar opportunities. In addition to the J.D. program, students can pursue the LL.M. in the field of transnational law if they have already completed the J.D. The degree emphasizes several areas of international law, such as international dispute resolution, private international law, comparative law and transactions in international business. The school also offers a joint J.D./M.B.A. program that can be completed in four years of study.
