University of Oregon

• The University of Oregon's School of Law was ranked by "U.S. News & World Report" as the No. 80 school of law in the nation, making it among the top-tier schools in the U.S. In addition to the traditional J.D. program, the University of Oregon offers a Master of Laws degree with a specialization in the field of environmental and natural resources law. The school also offers a two-year master's degree program in conflict and dispute resolution. Like other top-tier law programs, the university also offers opportunities for joint degrees. In conjunction with the J.D., students can pursue a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Science in Environmental Studies and Law or a Master of Art in International Studies.

Lewis & Clark Law School

• Ranked No. 64 by "U.S. News & World Report," Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland is the state of Oregon's most well-respected school of law. LC offers the J.D. degree and the LL.M. The LL.M. is offered in the field of environmental sciences and natural resources law. What distinguishes Lewis & Clark from the state's other law schools, however, are the various specializations that each law student can pursue within the J.D. program. Areas of specialization include animal law, tax law, business law, public interest law, criminal law, intellectual property law, Indian law and global law.

Willamette University

• The College of Law at Willamette University in Salem is the state Oregon's third ABA approved law school. Although not ranked as a top-tier school like the other two programs, WU offers students similar opportunities. In addition to the J.D. program, students can pursue the LL.M. in the field of transnational law if they have already completed the J.D. The degree emphasizes several areas of international law, such as international dispute resolution, private international law, comparative law and transactions in international business. The school also offers a joint J.D./M.B.A. program that can be completed in four years of study.
