Who developed the first police training school?

While there's no single definitive answer as different countries and regions developed police training at different times, the Metropolitan Police of London, under Sir Robert Peel, is generally credited with establishing the first organized and formalized police training program in the modern sense. Though not a school in the modern building sense, their early training initiatives in the 1820s laid the groundwork for future police academies.
