The first step is to choose a course that you are interested in and that you have the qualifications for. You can search for courses on the University of Oxford website, or you can contact the admissions office of the college or department that you are interested in.
2. Check your qualifications
Once you have found a course that you are interested in, you need to check whether you have the qualifications to apply. The University of Oxford has a list of standard entry requirements, but some courses may have additional requirements. You can check the entry requirements for your chosen course on the University of Oxford website.
3. Write your personal statement
The personal statement is an important part of your application. It is your chance to show the admissions tutors why you are interested in studying at Oxford, and what you can bring to the university community. You should take some time to plan and write your personal statement, and make sure that it is well-written and error-free.
4. Submit your references
You will need to submit two academic references with your application. These references should be from tutors or professors who know you well and can attest to your academic ability.
5. Apply
Once you have completed your personal statement and gathered your references, you can apply to the University of Oxford through the UCAS website. The application deadline is 15 October for undergraduate courses and 1 December for graduate courses.
6. Interviews
If you are shortlisted for an interview, you will be invited to visit the University of Oxford for an interview with a panel of tutors. The interview is an opportunity for the tutors to get to know you better and to assess your academic potential.
7. Decisions
The University of Oxford will make its decisions on applications by the end of March for undergraduate courses and by the end of April for graduate courses.
