The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, world renowned in many different engineering and architectural fields, is an intellectual powerhouse best known for it's researching prowess. MIT's engineering degrees, especially at the graduate level, are considered one of the best educations in the world, producing engineers in all fields, including those who go on to work with elite architectural firms designing world-class buildings. In 2010, the Princeton Review named Rice University the Best Private Value College in the country, as well as one of the top universities in the country. Since 1912, Rice's school of architecture has been teaching undergraduate and graduate students about the art and engineering of some of the top architecture in the world and how to replicate it themselves. Faculty include both historians and working professionals in the field. The Rice Building Workshop sponsors design projects in Houston to give all of its architecture and engineering students real hands-on experience.
