Use the school logo, colors or symbolic images on the presentation board. Viewers should recognize your school at first sight. Be consistent with the use of color, fonts and logos throughout the presentation board and attached fliers. If your school has a certain publicity template, such as formatting styles in school publications, use the same formatting style in the presentation board.
Most prospective students and their parents look for a school that offers high-quality education with the degree programs in which they are interested. Summarize the degree programs the institution offers. Emphasize programs for which the institution has earned a good reputation. Mention the core curriculum if it is distinctive. If your school offers small classes, include the faculty-student ratio. Showcase student and faculty achievements, such as current research projects, scholarship awards and career paths that graduates have taken. Highlight the national ranking of the institution.
In addition to academics, parents and students want to find out the resources that the school offers its students. List athletics, organizations, clubs and other resources based on their popularity at the institution. Highlight any state-of-the-art facilities, such as a stadium, gym or library. Showcase school members' community involvement and projects.
Provide basic information about admission eligibility, financial aid and application deadlines on the board. Many school applications are submitted electronically; include on the board the school's website address or a link to the application page. Mention the availability of scholarships, grants and graduate assistantship stipends. Encourage students to apply early. Include on the presentation board the institution's physical address as well.
