The University of the Philippines (UP), the premier state university of the country, features the Philippine e-Lib, which is a collaborative project of UP, National Library of the Philippines (NLP), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Department of Agriculture (DA) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
The Philippine e-Lib is the first public electronic library in the country. It provides digitized Filipiniana materials, theses and dissertations, special collection/researches, electronic databases and a union catalog of the five collaborating partners. It strives for full automation of the university’s world-class collection of teaching, research and extension work resources. It also features digital books and indexes, online journals and periodicals, directory of open access journals and research networks and databases.

According to its website, the Rizal Library of the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) has all the amenities of university libraries of advanced countries. Its collections include both local and foreign materials in various formats including access to these materials via online catalogs. Its online platform facilitates speedy and systematic access to both in-house collections and outside resources through various collaborations with interlibrary projects, outreach services and other cooperative linkages.
ADMU’s Rizal Library, named after the Philippines’ national her Jose Rizal, keeps educational partnerships within the university community and the community of scholars all over the world to utilize mutually advantageous sharing of educational resources. The library has an online chat service called Ask-a-Librarian to serve students and educators for their online library needs.

The De La Salle University (DLSU) Library features online library services from databases to e-collections of various books, journals, periodicals, Philippine literary works, faculty publications, theses and dissertations and other print, archival materials and audiovisual resources. It hosts a number of online programs like the integrated search engine that provides in-campus and off-campus services, Ask LORA (Library Online Reference Assistant) service and other online electronic resources facilitating a number of library and research features.
The DLSU Library also provides webliography services that allow users to access electronic bibliographies of websites, web pages and web documents to supplement library resources on specific educational topics. It also gives access to online publications of selected faculty members.
