      Apply to the school you plan on transferring to. There are requirements you have to meet before you can be considered a transfer student. Some of the requirements are you must obtain a certain amount of credit hours and GPA prior to being accepted by the institution. The number of credit hours and GPA can vary per school. If you are attending school in another state you will want to establish residency status with the university. Your residency will determine how much you will pay in school fees and the type of financial assistance you can receive.       Request transcripts from all the universities you have previously attended to be transferred to your new institution.
