Earn a master of technology degree from the Kent State University's School of Technology. The two-year program includes topics in project management in a technical environment, quality standards, research in technology, microprocessor-based design, evaluating quality systems, computer-aided design, connectivity and interoperability, technical programming, control system and robotics, burn-in and stress testing. Students may choose to conduct a thesis project in research and development or take additional courses instead. While enrolled, students may participate in on-campus clubs such as the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, the Kent Tuscarawas Animation Imagineers and the Electronics Club.

Students interested in instructional design may enroll in the University of South Carolina, Aiken's master's degree in educational technology program, which is completed online. The two-year program (including summer sessions) includes topics in design and development tools, management of technology resources, instructional design and assessment, integration of technology and instruction, introduction to information technologies, design and evaluation of information access and delivery, introduction to research in education and design and evaluation of games and simulations. Students graduate with a portfolio of educational technology design programs completed during the course.
