Indiana University South Bend is 31 miles from Goshen and offers an associate degree in radiography. Students who complete the program will be able to perform any medical radiographic procedure needed for diagnosis. Coursework for the degree includes orientation to radiographic technology, introduction to clinical radiography and medical terminology. These courses give students a basic knowledge and understanding of the field they are entering. Other courses for the program include venipuncture, pharmacology, radiation experiments and quality control, and radiobiology and protection in diagnostic radiology. Students may also complete a senior seminar in which they conduct research in medical imaging. Under the direction of professional technicians, students will complete clinical experience where they will get hands-on experience in radiologic technology.

Fort Wayne School of Radiography is 60 miles from Goshen in Fort Wayne. The school, in affiliation with Indiana University-Purdue University, offers an Associate of Science degree in radiography. Graduates are prepared for entry-level jobs in radiologic technology. Students will study a combination of prerequisite and professional courses. General studies and prerequisites to be completed before entering the radiography program include algebra, trigonometry and human anatomy and physiology. The core degree program takes 24 months to complete and includes classroom and clinical education. Curriculum includes principles of radiography, medical terminology, radiographic procedures, radiation biology and protection, pathology and physics applied to radiology. Clinical practice takes place in the radiology departments of area hospitals.

Indiana University Northwest, 93 miles from Goshen in the city of Gary, offers a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences. Students will complete 122 credit hours of coursework, which includes 92 credit hours of general education and prerequisite classes, and 30 credit hours of core classes. General and prerequisite courses include three classes in verbal and written communication, physics, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, math, and electives in computer science, humanities and social science. Core classes for the senior year include topics in radiologic sciences, sectional imaging anatomy and advanced diagnostic and medical imaging.
