Individuals with an associate degree and a minimum of one year of experience in health care can pursue an undergraduate degree in clinical leadership and management to prepare for a career or academic studies at the graduate level. Prospective students who have obtained an undergraduate degree may pursue a master of health sciences in clinical leadership.
The 120-credit bachelor's degree program includes a combination of core and general education courses. The core curriculum includes epidemiology and biostatistics, health policy and politics, health law and the financial management of health care systems.
The 44-credit hour master's program prepares students to act in a leadership role in a multitude of health care settings, including rural and urban facilities, allowing them to use critical analysis to make changes in the health care system. The master's degree utilizes a significant amount of practical application throughout the program to encourage the development of problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
