Students who wish to enter the B.S.N program must first earn a "C" or better in one of two math courses: STA 2014, Principles of Statistics, or STA 2023, Statistical Methods I.
A "C" or higher must be earned in CHM 1032, General Chemistry, or any other approved life or physical science course. An adviser should be consulted before taking any other science course to determine if it is approved. MCB 2004C, Microbiology with lab, must also be taken.
HUN 3011, Human Nutrition, is required, as is ZOO 3733C, Human Anatomy. PCB 3703C, Human Physiology, must also be taken. Anatomy and Physiology can be taken as separate courses, or together as a sequence of courses, if desired.
A student must take either SYG 2000, General Sociology, or PSY 2012, General Psychology. Once one of these basic courses is passed with a grade of "C" or higher, the student may choose between SOW 3104, Assessing Human Development, or DEP 2004, Developmental Psychology.
