Put all instructions that you receive from the dean of the school that you are applying to or your instructor in the first section of the life experience portfolio. This section is for the dean or instructor to put recommendations in your life experience portfolio.
Write what job titles you have held, how long you held the job title, average hours per week involved with the job and total estimated time spent working at the job in the second section of your portfolio. Include your job responsibilities and lessons you learned while working the job. Repeat this step for every job that you had. In addition, list other experience such as conferences you have attended, ministry you have performed, relevant books you have studied and other activities you have participated in. Each entry must be accompanied by explaining your titles in these activities, hours involved in the activities, and what lessons you learned.
Provide third-party documentation for the activities listed in the second section of the portfolio wherever possible. Third-party documentation includes newspaper articles, church newsletters, or any certificates earned. Provide letters of reference from people you worked under; this will strengthen your life portfolio's effectiveness.
Provide all original transcripts in the third section. Include your high school transcripts and any other secondary schools you have attended.
Provide documentation of post-secondary courses, practica, and internships in the fourth section of the portfolio.
Show any additional evidence of your life experience in the fifth section of your portfolio; you can submit anything you feel helps show your learning. Show documentation and pictures of things you have created, licenses and certificates you have achieved, publications you have and other samples of your achievements here.
