Colleges in Lawton, Oklahoma

Lawton, Oklahoma is located right outside Fort Sill Military Reservation and Fort Sill Regional Airport. The nearest major city is Oklahoma City, just 85 miles to the northeast. Events held nearby in Medicine Park include the Park Tavern Polar Bear Plunge and Old Plantation Car Show. Four colleges are located within Lawton.
  1. Platt College

    • Platt College is a private institution providing education in the fields of health, culinary, nursing and information technology. Applications are accepted from students who have graduated from high school or completed a GED program. After making an application for admission, potential students are interviewed before being accepted into a program. Financial aid is available to students through the financial services office.

    Comanche Nation College

    • Comanche Nation College offers four associate degree programs. Programs offered are Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Associate of Applied Science and Associate of General Studies. The college works with Cameron University, also in Lawton, to transfer credits for students wishing to continue toward a four-year degree. Students who have completed a GED program or earned a high school diploma can apply for acceptance. Comanche Nation College also offers a GED program.

    Cameron University

    • Cameron University is partnered with Comanche Nation College as part of a two-plus-two program. Students can complete two years of credits at CNC before transferring those credits to Cameron University. The college offers associate and bachelor's degrees in various areas of study. A master's degree program is also available. Undergraduates, graduates, transfer students and non-degree seeking students have different application processes. Students may also apply to attend classes at Cameron University concurrently with another college or university.

    Webster University at Fort Sill

    • Webster University at Fort Sill offers master's degree programs only. Prospective students do not have to be in the military or related to someone in the military to attend the Fort Sill campus of Webster University. Evening and online classes are available. There are no minimum credit hours required so students can take one course or more, as desired. An application for the master's degree program is available online. Students can complete a master's degree in just 15 months.
