ACSI is an organization that grants accreditation to schools worldwide. This accreditation ensures that each organization is teaching and instructing students in a manner that adheres to ASCI's primary message and core beliefs, and that is in harmony with the tenets of the Christian faith. While ASCI accreditation is valuable within the evangelical community, it is not recognized as an accrediting scholastic body by the U.S. Department of Education. ASCI requests that colleges and universities applying for accreditation obtain scholastic accreditation elsewhere.
ASCI accredits colleges around the world, from traditional campus schools to online institutions. In addition to offering the opportunity for spiritual growth and guidance, these schools give students the chance to study a variety of majors and participate in campus culture and athletics. Fresno Pacific University, San Diego Christian College and Barclay College are examples of the range of schools accredited by ASCI.
All schools, from early education to K-12 to colleges and universities can become members of ASCI. Member organizations have access to ASCI's resources, including the annual school survey, an attorney discount, fund-raising materials, insurance plans, student assessments and classroom materials.
If you are a teacher or an educator, you can become an individual member of ACSI. Individual members gain access to accreditation materials, professional training and development and a range of networking resources.
Because ASCI is a worldwide organization, students at accredited schools may have the opportunity to study abroad through the organizations' Destinations program. This program organizes an exchange between two ASCI schools, and can be short-term or long-term.
Students in the states of Rhode Island and Pennsylvania also have access to scholarships granted by ASCI.
