Classes of MBA

Courses within a Master of Business Administration degree program prepare graduates for management and executive careers in finance, marketing, accounting and operations management. While part-time and accelerated MBA programs are available, most students graduate within two years. To enroll in an MBA program, you must have a bachelor's degree in a business-related field and strong scores on the Graduate Management Admissions Test.

Students also learn about production scheduling, inventory management, operational issues, equipment maintenance and materials handling.

    Project Management

    • Students enrolled in a project management course develop the skills necessary to ensure that projects remain on budget and on time. The course offers students a chance to apply project management theories to real-world practices applicable to all business areas, including marketing, accounting, finance and government.

    Market Managing

    • A market-managing course teaches students how to develop strategies for marketing success within businesses and organizations. Marketing strategies may come from the ability to create profitability and maintain customer satisfaction. Students learn to evaluate potential risk, execute marketing strategies, deliver goods and services, and understand market function.

    Business Analysis

    • A business analysis course gives students an analytic framework to understand business needs, stakeholder requirements, production techniques and organizational performance. Students learn to apply their analysis skills through case studies to understand why certain related business decisions brought success or failure. Additional topics include prioritizing business needs, creating business models, completing workflow diagrams and understanding business objectives.
