This concentration is designed for students interested in business and industrial management careers, or for professionals in the industry seeking further education and training. In addition to a national science elective, core classes include principles of marketing; industrial management; principles of accounting; general psychology; human relationships; microcomputer applications; fundamentals of public speaking; elements of supervision and industrial management.
The associate's in nursing at WCCS trains students to sit for the National Council of Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses exam. WCCS students average an 80 percent score on this test, and 95 percent of those who seek employment are working within six months of graduation. The 57-hour nursing program requires courses in subjects such as human anatomy and physiology; microbiology; psychology; human growth and development; fundamentals of nursing; introduction to pharmacology; maternal and child nursing; and health assessment. Students must also choose an elective from among classes that include art appreciation; ethics in society; theater appreciation and survey of the Old Testament.
