Move the plants out of the heat, if possible.
Blast the undersides of plant leaves with water, to dislodge the mites.
Introduce predator mites with a tolerance for high temperatures and low humidity to the plant. However, if the mite population is expanding, predator mites, which are very expensive, may not be a cost-effective treatment method.
Obtain effective insecticidal soaps or agricultural chemicals for mites from your county government, which can give you advice as to which products are effective. Test your insecticidal soap or chemicals on one or two leaves to make sure that it will not damage the plant.
Dunk the foliage into your insecticidal chemicals.
Repeat treatment at least two more times, with five to seven days in between treatments. Repeat treatments will help you to get rid of the larvae as well as the adults.
