Use CUNY's library website or go to your campus' library get the names of libraries in the network.
Use your student identification, faculty or alumni card to enter a CUNY library and check out books. You can also visit the CUNY library to look for books and resources throughout the CUNY system. The system is also cataloged on their website, making it simple to find the books and resources you are looking for without leaving your home or dorm room.
Call the Office of Library Services to make arrangements to visit a CUNY Library if you are not a student or alumni. They can be contacted at (212) 794-5328 and are located at 535 East 80th Street in Manhattan. Local high school students and visiting scholars may use the library.
Visit your local library and see if they have the title you are looking for if you are a member of the public. If they do not have the title and CUNY does, you will be permitted to check out the book (and only that book) with a Metro Card referral from your library.
Obtain an Open Access card if you attend SUNY Empire State. This will allow you to borrow from all CUNY campuses, but the card expires at the end of each semester, so you will need to make sure you renew it.
