Writing most papers, including an APA paper, requires you to follow a specific set of instructions as provided by your instructor. A common instruction for writing essays is that the paper should be double-spaced; double-spacing is not only required for many papers, it also makes the paper easier to read. The exact process of double-spacing any paper on your computer requires you to adjust the settings in your word processing document, such as in Microsoft Word.
