Do a general search at the College Scholarships website. It is a non-profit website, which offers a directory of scholarships organized by state, degree and minority status. The link is provided below, but it also accessible through the FAFSA website.
Go to the website for the National Medical Fellowships. This organization provides money to students through merit-based awards, need-based scholarships and experience-based fellowships. Although these scholarships are not specifically for minority students, they are certainly open to all minority groups.
Visit the website of the Medical Library Association. This site also has a directory of available medical scholarships organized by due date. This will help you stay on top of when applications are due so that you don’t miss out on any opportunities.
Go to the website for the United Negro College Fund. The organization provides college scholarships to African-Americans. Once on the site click on "Scholarships." Then go to "Advanced Search" and type in medicine for the field of study. It will provide you a list of scholarships for students going into medicine.
Visit the Hispanic Scholarship Fund website. In the last year, the organization has given out approximately $1.8 million in scholarship money to more than 615 Hispanic college students. When you log onto the website click "Programs." From there click "Scholarships." This is were you’ll find information and a link to the scholarship application.
