What does a continuity book do?

- Props, costumes, and makeup: Notes on any props, costumes, hair, and makeup used in the scene, including any changes or modifications made between shots.

- Blocking and movement: Detailed notes on the actors' movements, positions, entrances and exits, body language, and any significant gestures or actions within the scene.

- Synchronization information: Notes on sound cues, special effects, or any other elements that need to be synchronized with the action in the scene.

- Mistakes and inconsistencies: Notes on any errors or inconsistencies that occur during filming, such as continuity errors (e.g., changes in characters' hair or clothing between shots) or continuity gaps (e.g., missing props or actions not seen on screen).
