Can you use printer paper in a typewriter?

While it is possible to insert printer paper into a typewriter, it is generally not recommended and may even cause damage to the machine. Printer paper is thinner and less durable than the specialized typewriter paper that was designed for use in these machines. The thinner paper can become easily jammed or torn when passing through the typewriter's roller and mechanisms.
