The total number of points you earn on a Subject Test is your "raw score." This raw score is then converted to a "scaled score" using a process that is confidential and proprietary to the College Board.
The scaled scores range from 200 to 800. They are designed to be comparable across different Subject Tests and to provide a consistent measure of your academic achievement in a particular subject area.
The following table shows the relationship between raw scores and scaled scores for the SAT Subject Tests:
| Raw Score | Scaled Score |
|---|---|
| 80-89 | 800 |
| 70-79 | 750 |
| 60-69 | 700 |
| 50-59 | 650 |
| 40-49 | 600 |
| 30-39 | 550 |
| 20-29 | 500 |
| 10-19 | 450 |
| 0-9 | 400 |
