Did a jd pass the bar exam?

A JD (Juris Doctor) is a law degree. Passing the bar exam is a *requirement* to practice law in most jurisdictions. Therefore, simply having a JD does *not* guarantee that someone passed the bar exam. They hold the degree, but haven't yet completed the licensing process.
