What SAT parts do most college only look at?

Most colleges primarily focus on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math sections of the SAT. While some colleges may consider the essay (if submitted), it's far less common and rarely a deciding factor. The essay section is not required by most colleges.

In short: The Reading, Writing and Language, and Math sections are the crucial parts. They provide the composite SAT score that colleges heavily weigh in their admissions decisions.
