If you take the PSAT in 9th grade does it still count your junior year?

No, the PSAT score from your 9th-grade year will not be considered when you apply to colleges. Colleges only look at PSAT scores from your 10th and 11th grade years (taken in 10th and 11th grade, respectively), and primarily at the PSAT/NMSQT taken during your junior year (11th grade). The PSAT 8/9 (typically taken in 8th or 9th grade) is used for diagnostic and practice purposes.
