Tests, quizzes and exams cause anxiety for some. To other students, being tested is a breeze. Knowing how to stay organized and how to go about preparing for exams is half the battle.
  1. Make a To-Do List

    • To-do lists help you to stay organized and on top of assignments. They help to visualize what needs to be done and in what time frame. Make a list of all the assignments, projects and tests you have to complete and when they are due. Keep your to-do list in a visible place and cross off assignments as you complete them.

    Create Flash Cards

    • Flash cards are an easy way to define important concepts and terms. Instead of endlessly reading sections over, make flash cards. Flash cards are portable and will help you to simplify and organize material. Using flash cards allows you to easily study in desired chunks of time, and simply pick up where you left off. They are also ideal for studying with others.

    Take Care of Yourself

    • Many students ignore their bodies when pressed for time. Getting plenty of rest will enhance your performance. Drinking lots of water and eating a proper diet will keep your mind sharp. Also, try to keep stress levels to a minimum; stress takes over your brain and lowers the immune system. Try a yoga class, or simply use a squeezable stress ball.
