Will you fail the 8th grade if on all of fcat tests?
In Florida, failing the FCAT (Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test) – or its successor, the FSA (Florida Standards Assessments) – wouldn't automatically result in failing 8th grade. However, it's a significant factor. Students' performance on these standardized tests is a key component of their overall evaluation. Low scores could lead to retention in 8th grade, depending on the school district's policies and the student's performance in other areas like classwork, projects, and participation. A failing grade in other subjects would also heavily influence the decision. So, while a poor performance on the FSA isn't an automatic failure, it significantly increases the chances.
