Was St Luke an MD or a Ph.D?

Neither. St. Luke was a physician, not a medical doctor or a doctor of philosophy. The titles of MD and PhD were not in use during his time. St. Luke is believed to have been a follower of St. Paul and is traditionally credited as the author of the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles.
