What happens if you pass the accuplacer test?

Passing the Accuplacer test means you've demonstrated sufficient skills in reading, writing, and/or math to meet the college's placement requirements for your chosen courses. What happens next depends on your scores and the college's policies, but generally:

* Course Placement: You'll be placed into college-level courses appropriate for your skill level. This avoids placing you in remedial courses if you've already mastered the material.

* No Remedial Courses: If you score high enough, you'll skip developmental or remedial courses, saving you time and money.

* Advanced Placement (Potentially): In some cases, exceptionally high scores might allow placement into higher-level courses or even grant credit for certain subjects.

* Access to desired programs: Your scores might determine whether or not you're eligible to enroll in specific programs that have academic prerequisites.

In short, passing the Accuplacer allows you to proceed with your college education efficiently and effectively, based on your demonstrated abilities. Failing the Accuplacer, conversely, often leads to enrollment in remedial courses before you can take college-level classes.
