Performance-Based Assessment
Task: Create a 3-minute video using an app of your choice to teach a younger audience about the water cycle.
Criteria for Success:
* The video must be informative and understandable.
* It should be engaging and keep the viewer's attention.
* It must be well-edited and visually appealing.
Rubric:
* Excellent (4 pts): The video meets all of the above criteria and goes beyond expectations.
* Good (3 pts): The video meets all of the above criteria.
* Fair (2 pts): The video meets most of the above criteria.
* Needs improvement (1 pt): The video meets some of the above criteria, but needs significant improvement.
* Unacceptable (0 pts): The video does not meet any of the above criteria.
Examples:
* Excellent (4 pts): _The video is well-organized, and clearly and effectively explains the different stages of the water cycle. It is engaging and visually appealing, using a variety of techniques to keep the viewer's attention. Animations, graphics, and sound effects are used effectively._
* Good (3 pts): _The video is well-organized and clearly explains the different stages of the water cycle. It is visually appealing, but could benefit from more variety and/or better editing. Overall, the video is informative and engaging._
* Fair (2 pts): _The video is mostly organized and explains most of the stages of the water cycle, but could benefit from more clarity or examples. It is visually appealing, but could be improved by using more animations, graphics, and/or sound effects._
* Needs improvement (1 pt): _The video is not well-organized and has several gaps in content. It is not very visually appealing, and could benefit from significant improvement in terms of editing and creativity._
* Unacceptable (0 pts): _The video is not well-organized, does not explain the different stages of the water cycle, and is not visually appealing._
