What does RA 1425 impose on teachers?

The Republic Act 1425, also known as the Rizal Law, imposes the following on teachers:

1. Including the life, works, and writings of Dr. Jose Rizal in the curriculum of all public and private schools, colleges, and universities.

2. Promoting the teaching of the life and works of Dr. Jose Rizal by requiring schools to keep adequate Rizal libraries, teaching materials, and visual aids.

3. Encouraging the publication and distribution of books, pamphlets, and visual materials about Dr. Jose Rizal and his works.

4. Conducting annual Rizal Day celebrations in schools, with appropriate ceremonies, programs, and activities to honor the memory and teachings of Dr. Jose Rizal.

5. Making available copies of Rizal's novels, Noli Me Tangere, and El Filibusterismo, to all public and private schools, colleges, and universities for the purpose of teaching, research, and distribution to students.
