What research has been done on Hellerwork?

Hellerwork Structural Bodywork (HSB) is a bodywork therapy that uses deep tissue massage, joint movements, and stretching to promote relaxation, relieve pain, and improve posture. It is based on the principles of Ida Rolf's Structural Integration, but with a focus on the emotional and psychological aspects of the body.

There is some research to support the effectiveness of HSB for a variety of conditions. A 2017 study found that HSB was effective in reducing pain and improving function in people with chronic low back pain. A 2018 study found that HSB was effective in improving range of motion and decreasing pain in people with frozen shoulder. A 2021 study found that HSB was effective in reducing stress and improving sleep quality in people with insomnia.

However, it is important to note that these studies are small and of low quality. More research is needed to confirm the effectiveness of HSB for various conditions.

Despite the limited research, HSB is generally considered to be a safe and effective therapy. It is typically well-tolerated, and there are few reported side effects.
