Where is macduff during act 3 and why?
In Act 3, Macduff is in England, having fled from Scotland after hearing of Macbeth's ascent to the throne and the rumors that he murdered King Duncan. Macduff is suspicious of Macbeth and does not trust him, so he decides to seek support from the English king Edward the Confessor and unite with the English army to march against Macbeth.
