Where was the teacher from that on challenger?

The teacher on the Challenger was Christa McAuliffe. She was a social studies teacher at Concord High School in New Hampshire. She was selected from over 11,000 applicants to participate in the Teacher in Space Project. The project was designed to inspire students to pursue careers in science and technology. McAuliffe died when the Challenger exploded shortly after liftoff on January 28, 1986.
