What does the word Jabberwocky mean?
The word "Jabberwocky" is a nonsense word coined by Lewis Carroll in his poem "Jabberwocky", which is the first poem in his book Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There (1871). The word itself does not have a specific meaning, but it used in the context of the poem to suggest a nonsensical or fantastical creature. Carroll creates a whole fantastical world filled with strange creatures and words, and "Jabberwocky" is one example of his wordplay.
