Preschool aged children love Play Dough. It is a squishy, accessible, fun toy for them to get their hands on. A wonderful way to tie together a Sunday school lesson and preschooler's love for this moldable dough is to use it to review the lessons learned in Sunday school service. Have the students use the play dough to make figurines and shapes that represent what they learned about.
If you are teaching about different animals, it might be fun for Sunday school students to make animal masks. When the students learn the story of Noah's Arc and the animals, they can show their understanding by choosing an animal to color on a paper plate. The plates can then have two holes punched in by an adult and string tied to fit the children. The children can then interact and role play the scenes from the stories they have learned.
If the preschool students are learning about the lost lambs, they can role play in a classroom scavenger hunt. Stuffed animals lambs can be purchased at a toy store or novelty shop. The lambs are placed in hiding around the room. The objective will be for the children to search for the lambs and bring them back to the safe place.
